on the internet: pet peeves about worship leaders
As someone who has led worship before, and as someone who has worship on the brain, I found this article to be somewhat interesting. It’s provocative. Some things I agreed with and found insightful, while other things I found highly disagreeable.
Scan the list. Do you agree with anything in particular? Disagree with anything in particular? I disagreed with most of the first problem, because I feel like spiritual leaders need to make people feel uncomfortable and push them past barriers to deepening their relationships with the Lord. Doesn’t #10 contradict it directly? #2 is a good reminder to me, and I’ve seen what happens when this takes over a set. A lot of the other ones haven’t really applied, so praise God for great worship leaders in my life?
