i upset a friend the other day
I’ve heard a lot of sermons where people talk about how people will let you down, but God never will. They say that when you have relationships with people, we need to know this and accept it with each other. This is a truth that is logical and accepted by me.
But boy, does it stink when it actually happens.
When it comes to the people I care about in particular, I never want to let anyone down. To know that you’ve hurt someone is an awful feeling, and I hope that I do it as little as possible. But I guess it’s bound to happen at times, and once it does, there’s no way to take it back.
Thank God for forgiveness and healing, and how He infuses grace into us that we can share with others. It’s amazing when the person you hurt is a Christian just like you, because then, once everyone cools off, they can trust that you just made a mistake, and you can trust that they’ll have grace and forgive you so that everyone can move on.
God is good!
